Stock Analyser

Our approach is a technical one. It is based on a number of reliable chart patterns that represent key short term shifts in market psychology. There are certain chart patterns that pinpoint when a change in the balance of power between buyers and sellers has occurred. We will teach you not only how to identify these chart patterns, but also help you to build tactics and strategies that are designed to profitably exploit them.

Who can use this program?
Traders with any level of expertise. The program is user friendly, developed by a user for users. We have devised the ShareEasy Trading System to enable people with little or no knowledge of charting or technical analysis to become competent traders with the assistance of Stock Analyser. But at the same time those with experience will find it equally valuable.

We believe in service, and offer full training free of charge, user group membership, and ongoing support and advice by email or phone.

Downloading data

Clean accurate end-of-day data is downloadable from 7.30pm each trading day. With a click of the mouse, data for all stocks listed on the Australian Stock Exchange is downloaded directly into the program. Data allows for name changes and splits.

Scanning & analysis

Stock Analyser has a very powerful search engine that can scan the entire list of stocks on the ASX in a matter of seconds.

It allows the user to specify and save their own criteria, or to use pre-set templates to isolate a group of stocks within a pre-defined price and volume range. A click of the SEARCH button produces a list of stocks which comply with the desired criteria. Double click on the first stock and the chart will be displayed for analysing.

Charting

Simple to understand, readily adjustable charts make Stock Analyser a valuable aid for the novice to expert technical analyst.

Charts can be displayed as daily or weekly, Line, Bar or Candlestick, over periods from 30 to 720 days. Various indicators are available to help recognise buy, hold and sell signals.

Portfolio Manager

The Portfolio Manager is a simple to use yet very effective transaction reporting module. Financial transactions regarding bought, sold and held shares are recorded here. Reports can be created and printed - at the press of a button you have your complete trading data ready for your taxation return.

Watch Centre

Use the Watch Centre to list specific stocks whose progress you wish to follow.

Multiple watchlists - up to 99 - can be set up, for example by price range, date or market sector, and you can include as many stocks in each watchlist as you require.

Paper trading feature

Trading is a learned skill. The more we practise the better we become. Paper trading allows us to develop the expertise and confidence we will need for real life trading, without our bank balance having to suffer!

There are three objectives of paper trading:

  1. to become conversant with all the tools and techniques used in the strategy, and be fully aware of when and how each indicator is used.
  2. to practise the techniques until they are second nature.
  3. to successfully select and analyse profitable trades, with a success rate of at least 70%-80% before actually moving on to live trading.

Stock Analyser's paper trading feature, utilising the Stop Loss strategy inherent in our trading plan, is a valuable and efficient aid to the development of trading skills.

Company Profile display

The corporate profile for any stocks being evaluated can be displayed by clicking the icon located at the left of the charts screen.

Available information includes the industry class to which the stock belongs, and the company's principal activities.
 

Buy Calculator

The Buy Calculator is a handy utility for share price/volume calculation. It allows you to calculate the number of shares you can buy for a specified amount of money, and also calculates nett profit to be made at various sell prices. Provision is made for intra-day charting, so that the changes in a stock's candle or bar can be tracked, based on prices throughout the day.

Backup facility

The backup utility allows for backup and restoration of Stock Analyser user files. This avoids loss of data (such as watchlists and portfolios) in the case of computer/power failure.

Backup is a simple procedure, activated by merely clicking on the backup button when closing the program.
