Frequently asked questions

I have loaded the program onto my computer and the data date on the screen is showing 31/12/1899.
Answer:
You need to change your short date format. To do this, click START button - Settings - Control Panel. In the Control Panel click Regional Settings then click the Date tab (the last tab on the right at the top of the page). Then change the Short Date Style to this setting: dd/MM/yyyy. Click OK and the problem should be fixed. If this hasn't rectified the problem, email:

I have loaded the program and when I go to the Charting section I cannot exit from the page. I have to Ctrl-Alt-Delete, which closes the program down.
Answer:
Stock Analyser is designed to run with a screen resolution of 800 x 600. To check your resolution, close all programs and right click your mouse on your desktop. This will open up a dialogue box. Right click on Properties (the bottom tab). This will open the Display Properties box. Click on the Settings tab (the last one on the right) and the screen area arrow will be shown. It should be set at 800 x 600. If it is not, slide the arrow to the left or right to display 800 x 600 pixels. Next click the Advanced button and set the Display font size to Small Fonts. Click the APPLY button and re-try the program. If this hasn't rectified the problem, email:

I am getting an INI error message on trying to download.
Answer:
This indicates that there is a problem with your Internet connection. Check to see if you can connect to a web page. If you can't, do a restart on your computer then try to connect again. If you still get the error message contact your Internet Service Provider.

When attempting to download I receive the message 'Future date request'.
Answer:
This is caused by attempting to download data a second time for the same date (for example, when you re-install the program). In order to have the download date re-set, please email:
support@shareeasy.com.au

Also check the date on your computer. To do this, double click on the time display at the bottom right of the screen. Check and adjust the date if necessary.
